Provent-A-Mite is a strong mite eradication formula for use to treat reptile mites.
Mites are an ectoparasite that prey on the blood of reptiles but most commonly found on snakes. They are not fatal to the animal if found in small numbers but nevertheless must be treated and eradicated to prevent the numbers from spreading. Reptiles mites are highly contagious to other reptiles but not to humans or other mammal pets.
There are many methods of eradication all with debatable effectiveness versus toxicity of the product being used. PAM is one of the stronger substances that must be used with care. It is most commonly used by people with large collections of snakes that need to treat the racking systems and bins. It can, ofcourse, also be used on smaller scales.

Live animal shipping is highly specialized and requires specialty handling with heated/cooled and insulated boxes, as well as careful weather monitoring.
- Animals are shipped Priority Overnight for NEXT DAY arrival on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays only for door-to-door service.
- Some rural zones may have exceptions.
- Live animals are NOT shipped like regular mail and require special agreements with qualified couriers.
- All Reptiles staff receive special packing training, ensuring climate-controlled transportation from start to finish.
- A signature is required upon arrival, so someone must be home to receive the shipment.
- Healthy arrival guarantees apply when the shipping process is followed correctly.
- We will contact you after purchase to arrange a safe ship date.

- All Provinces: Typically $69.00–$109.00, with some exceptions.
- Greater Toronto Area: Typically $49.00.
- Extreme rural counties across Canada: May exceed $109.00.
- Territories: Shipping starts at $200.00 and is only available in the summer months.

We spent 2 hours with David, he was super helpful, purchased critter cage, natural materials for the space with a leopard gecko (molten lavender). 1000 live crickets and everything needed to get our new pet Queso set up. Absolutely! All the photos on our website are photos of the exact animal for sale unless otherwise stated in the description so you know exactly what to expect. Only about 5% of our photos are not exactly the ones you are purchasing, and it is indicated in the description.
Every single one of our animals on our website are available for viewing and purchase in store during regular business hours. We are open to the public and all are welcome without notice!
Yes, all of our reptiles are checked for good health before being listed for sale. We ensure they’re eating well and displaying normal behaviour. They are checked again before shipping.
You’ll need an appropriate enclosure, heating, lighting, substrate and hides. Food is usually not needed until a few days later. Contact us if you need help setting up the perfect environment.
All animals come with a healthy arrival guarantee. Animals are shipped with Overnight Delivery wherever possible and using insulated boxes and heat/cool packs (as needed) to ensure safe transit. Shipping is scheduled on specific days to avoid delays and extreme weather. We also offer and highly recommend local depot pick up in your area but we can also ship directly to your home whenever safe to do so.
