Being a small time hobbyist for most of her life Karen is now a bit of everything at All Reptiles. Although mostly behind the scenes there is truly nothing around here that Karen does not have a part of… you name it and she’s doing it. She's got a university degree in Environmental Sciences which she uses to her advantage in understanding the physiology and anatomy of reptiles and how to establish them into our living environments. Karen's vast variety of product knowledge is unmatched in the industry and she approaches all tasks with an open mind. You will often see her running around the shop at quite the quick pace as everyone tries to grab a piece of her time.

It is hard to choose what strikes you most upon encountering Jacob. His wide, mischievous smile or mass of supposedly natural curls. This gentle woolly mammoth's hearty laugh and Dr Dolittle like rapport with reptiles earns respect, admiration and friendship amongst staff and customers alike. But don't be fooled! His superpowers are not always used for good. Quick-witted and a notorious prankster, we all must stay on our gecko toes! Seven years at All Reptiles, Jacob has worked long, tireless hours developing extensive knowledge and eagerly seeks to share with everyone he meets. An avid fisherman, Jacob has graced the store through thick and thin, which only proves, he can't catch anything.

No artificial sweetener added, Natalie is the real deal. Kind, compassionate, super friendly, Natalie greets each day with a healthy meal and exercise, and each customer with a big smile. Although well versed in all reptiles, this dedicated team member is widely recognized for her expertise on frogs, we are confident you will find her insights ribbiting. Natalie loves to learn and more than eager to share her knowledge. Behind the scenes, Natalie is a secret nerd that fan girls over Pokémon cards and anime cosplay. Her stress relief tactics include perfecting her amphibious habitats at home and binge watching anime shows. Another little known fact about Natalie, she has a figure skating background. We score this All Reptiles staff member a 6.0 out of 5.0!

Do not be fooled by his illustrious locks and unassuming demeanor. You may not realize it, but Vince is always observant and quietly learning in his sleuthy ways. Still a little green in the reptile community, Vince has many years of customer service experience under his belt and is a great worker! Vince comes from a close-knit large family with many hobbies but we think his favourite hobby is his Pokémon collection, especially the Whooper. That’s right, we said Whoopers. Ask him and he will tell you what we’re talking about. Have you seen an animated Whooper drawn around the shop somewhere? Guaranteed, it was Vince that drew it. As with so many of our past employees, Vince also has a knack for art and we are hoping to include Vince in our future marketing campaigns to create All Reptiles artwork!

So we tell David all the time that we think he is AI generated. That’s right. We are not really sure if he’s actually in front of us sometimes or if there is some serious Deep Fake going on because David’s mannerisms are just too precise. And just like a real cyborg, David is incredibly hardworking and does exactly what he is internally programmed to do and with excellent time management! He is never late for his shift, never calls in sick, never has excuses for anything and always completes his tasks in full. It is almost suspicious. We first got to know David as a high school co-op student, and when a position opened up, there was no question—we had to bring him on board for real. Watching him grow has been a blast, and if he is AI, well… whoever programmed him did an excellent job!

Many moons ago, Trinity arrived at the door of All Reptiles, a bright-eyed, well mannered, determined, reptile-owning 6 year old. Six years later, she insisted on joining our team. Alas, we crushed her little heart because she was too young and inexperienced at the time. This only made her more driven as she counted down the days and officially was hired at 16 after gaining some experience at McDonald’s first. Fierce, quick-witted, and never one to back down from a challenge, Trinity is resourceful, adaptable, and always up for learning something new. She’s also got a sharp sense of humor and a wonderful ability to laugh at herself (good thing because she’s a brat). Trinity’s dedication extends beyond work. She’s incredibly supportive of her family and is a favorite among all those who know her. While balancing her role here, she’s also pursuing a full-time university degree in healthcare, proving that determination has been her strong suit from day one.

Seemingly quiet and overly polite, Sammy’s favourite phrase is, “I’m sorry”. You were in his way? He’s sorry. You stepped on his foot? He’s sorry. You walked into a wall halfway across the room from him? He is very sorry. We truly think his overly polite nature is all a ruse to distract you from his secret life of inappropriate jokes. In all honesty, Sammy is extremely driven, coming from a very strong foundation of family support. He is a very avid keeper with an extensive rare reptile collection and has a Bachelor’s degree in Zoology. When Sammy is not working at All Reptiles, he is working at the Toronto Zoo as a real life Zoo Keeper! We are incredibly lucky to have him join the All Reptiles family in 2024.

Our latest addition to the All Reptiles Family, there is still so much more to learn about Lita. What strikes you first about her is her spunky and fast talking personality, quick movements, and penchant for sharing anecdotes. Ever seen those rabbits that get really excited and they hop up really high into the air? It’s called binkying. Yeah, that’s Lita. She’s been an avid reptile hobbyist for many years before coming to All Reptiles and has a slew of customer service experience under her belt. Her bubbly personality, big smile, and can-do attitude is such a welcome breath of fresh air!

Karli is a long time veteran here at All Reptiles. She is just as enthusiastic working with reptiles today as she was on her first day here in 2013. Karli is known for her bubbly yet fearless attitude towards anything with scales, teeth, fangs, fur, stingers, feathers, or a tail. As with all other staff members here, Karli is a natural animal lover and is an avid horseback rider outside of working with reptiles and more recently has started working with birds of prey as well. For as long as we have known her, she has always had long term goals in the animal industry and an impressive resume to back it up with. Although she no longer works daily salesfloor shifts in the shop, Karli is still heavily involved in our special events including reptile presentations, corporate events, and specialty animal handler requests!

Natasha has nothing but animal care experience under her belt and we were very happy to have her join our team at the beginning of Pandemic when Curbside Service was keeping us running around like basilisks. She has a history working at emergency vet clinics, accredited reptile zoos, and even doing animal presentations across Canada with travelling animal shows. Her entire life revolves around her massive reptile collection at home and her success in reptile vlogging is just beginning. We imagine great things for Natasha’s future in this industry and we know she is going to go far with it. Check out her YouTube Channel, you will not be disappointed!

Don’t let his seemingly shy demeanor fool you! Joe is no stranger to exotic pets in all categories. In fact, he is probably the most experienced here when it comes to birds and fish. He even has experience breeding and training German Shepherds raised as protection dogs. Reptiles are a relatively new territory for Joe but boy is he learning fast. Right now, Joe is the primary caretaker for all our rodents and he continually maintains and improves on the quality of our rodent care. If we had one word to describe Joe, it would be that he is a doer. Joe is thorough, decisive, and inventive and he loves to come up with his own ideas and opinions. We have a lot to learn from him and we welcome all the wisdom he has to share with us.

A trooper that has been with us for two rounds of employment! Philemon first started as a volunteer in 2012 then came back to us as a part time employee in 2014. Philemon is responsible for much of our demanding cleaning jobs and he does a fantastic job ensuring that our water dishes and bins stay sterile and clean. At home, he has a Blue Tongue Skink named Tricky. In his free time, Philemon loves to watch movies and read graphic novels. He is also currently a full time student at George Brown studying Culinary Arts!

It is extremely rare that we take on volunteers but Damien here has managed to nudge his way in through some persistent displays of commitment. Being the only Volunteer that we have, Damien is subjected to lots of innocent hazing, surrounded by many big brothers and big sisters, whom all have a hand in teaching and mentoring him. Thank goodness he is such a great sport about it and can hold his own because that is the only way you can survive working here being the youngest! We are all very excited to watch Damien grow as he learns something new every week and continues to fine tune his communication and conflict resolution skills.

Second of two high school co-ops that we have taken on this school semester. Ashlyn will be staying with us every afternoon until June. All smiles and super eager to start, Ashlyn could not contain her excitement right from her interview! Coming from one of the new schools we just started working with, Ashlyn is keen to learn more about what it takes to keep reptiles and how to navigate customer service. Don’t let her sweet smile and girly demeanor fool you, Ashlyn has no problem getting down and dirty with her carefully manicured hands. We make her wash dishes, sort rodents, and count out creepy crawlie bugs of all kinds and we demand that she maintains that smile while doing all of it!

The first of two high school co-ops that we have taken on this school semester. Nikayla is a literal star. Not even joking because she is a genuine track star. A competitive provincial level sprinter, she’ll take on anyone in a 100m, 200m, or 400m race. Maybe even a Basilisk Lizard? Our money’s on her—she’s got the stamina! We couldn’t be prouder every time she dominates a track meet, all while maintaining straight A’s in class. Dedicated and dependable, Nikayla has never missed a shift, always arrives early, and gets straight to work. She’s polite, hardworking, and a quick learner. Show her something once, and she’s already perfecting it. We’re lucky to have her on the team!

This guy. He wants to submit his own Bio. Apparently, what we wrote about him wasn't good enough. So hang tight while we wait for His Majesty to supply it. Coming Soon.
