Clip sets are sold separately from heat tape lengths.
The dimension of the heat tape means the width of the heat tape. Width availability comes in 3", 4", 6", or 12". Element thickness is +/- .125″.
3" - 4watts per foot -> Lengths of more than 40′ are not recommended.
4" - 6watts per foot -> Lengths of more than 40′ are not recommended.
6" - 12watts per foot -> Lengths of more than 25′ are not recommended.
12" - 23watts per foot -> Lengths of more than 25′ are not recommended.
Each unit of heat tape is equal to roughly 12" (1 foot) in length. Due to how this element is manufactured the length can vary by +/- 1/4″ PER FOOT. Generally, it is less than that but ORDER EXTRA. Choose the length of your heat tape by manually inputting the number. For example, if you want 4 feet of 6" heat tape then you will choose 6" in the drop down menu for dimension and then change the 1 to 4 to indicate that you want 4 feet of that size.
