Cherry Head Tortoise

The Cherryhead tortoise is a vibrant subspecies of the red-footed tortoise, known for its distinctive red or orange markings on its head, legs, and tail. Native to the forests and grasslands of South America, it is a medium-sized tortoise, but smaller than their Red Footed cousins. Cherryheads are hardy and thrive in warm, humid environments. They have a gentle temperament, making them popular among reptile enthusiasts. Their diet is omnivorous, consisting of leafy greens, fruits, and occasional protein sources. Cherryheads are admired for their striking coloration and adaptability in captivity. This particular Cherryhead's mother is only 7inches! So we are expecting this one to grow to be particularly small!
