Turtles are very intelligent reptiles and have a very long life span, typically ranging from 40-80 years among the species that are commonly kept as pets. All turtles are aquatic to semi aquatic with the exception of Box Turtles.
Interesting Fact: Turtles do not have teeth, instead they have beaks much like birds. Most turtles are carnivors when they are young and mature to be more herbivorous.
